Blaim iptables?


I have a rather frustrating problem that I described in this thread http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...5&pagenumber=1

My question is - Is it possible that a badly configured iptables might cause collisions on the external NIC? For more details, please read the other thread.
Maybe I'm way off here..

Any help is appriceated!

I don't believe that iptables (or other firewall) could cause an abnormal amount of collisions. I would think some kind of networking or hardware problems. Might want to swap in a new NIC or modem and see if that solves the problem.
