BackDoors

Hi there.

A friend got root for a moment in my machine. He opened a service, he put himself in sudoers...

I know he have opened a lot of backdoors, but I don't know where to search.

Any suggestions?

Remove your ex-friends logon ID. Remove all logon IDs that he created. Change the passwords of all other users on the machine. Remove anything from sudoers that does not belong there. Check your groups to make sure that no users have been added to a group that they should not belong to.

Here are two programs I know for checking for rootkits:
* chkrootkit
* rkhunter
