Automatic email sent when ftp user logs in

Hi all,

I am using vsftpd as my ftp server program and would like to be notified via email whenever a user logs into it. Just date, time, username and possbily IP address would be great, although just username would suffice.

Anyone any ideas on how to do this? I could use a different ftp server program if it had this functionality.

- Use something to tail the log, grep info and alert,
- Use something like pam_script if Vsftpd uses PAM.

If you want daily statistics you can also use logwatch to send you the info.
