Automate Firestarter with kppp

Hi All,

I was wondering if there is a way for firestarter to begin automatically when I connect to the net via kppp. At the moment I have to manually start FS each time I fire up kppp.

I don't like firestarter, heh heh, anyhow, have you tried editting your init script local file?

You can put just about anything you like in there, you don't mention your distro so try this for general reading

well I don't want to corrupt you, heh heh.

I have been cautioned by others not to "force" others to use guarddog. so have a look at this and make your own mind up.

If you have troubles make sure you have iptables installed b4 running it. Note that this web site has an online manual and screenshots and 6 steak knives heh heh

So with this GD is it possible to automate it along with kppp...

I use Mandrake 9.1 and have internet stuff all OFF on startup of services, guarddog in su mode was used to write the iptables script and Adam found it was good for it was tested thoroughly.

ie I don't need once written to append any scripts myself, it was all taken care of. heh heh.

Actually I do live in WA but have never joined PLUG if thats what you are seeking.
