Attn: Guru's of Security

Greetings!

I was just a normal bloke who knew nothing about Linux or Security before I bumped into LQ a year ago. I have learnt so much from LQ that I have helped some people answering their queries. I am familiar with Linux VPN to an extent.

Now, I have a situation. I have to submit a report on Performance comparison of VPN protocols in a peer-to-peer environment. I dont know how to go about it. Could someone suggest..where to start and what to do.. I am familiar working with IPsec, cIPe, Vtun, SSH, PPTP in a client-server environment..but not p2p.

Thank you.

Then start there, right? :-] There's some implementations of P2P apps using encryption and a decentralised distribution model, just Google for 'em.

This an assignment?
