Apache 1.3.29 Released: Security Update

For all those that are still running the 1.3.x series read below:

Did a search and suprised I didn't find this even posted but there was a new release of Apache that fixes a buffer overflow could occur in mod_alias and mod_rewrite when a regular expression with more than 9 captures is configured.

http://cve.mitre.org/cgi-bin/cvename...=CAN-2003-0542

Found this on the Slackware site that was actually posted on November 4th which affects all versions prior to 1.3.29.

Suggested packages to upgrade are: Apache, mod_ssl and PHP.

Also for the 2.0.x versions, there were similiar updates as well. Check out http://httpd.apache.org for more details.
