Hum... I am about linux security. I just found how to close anoying open port (who need send mail anyways? hehehe)
and I now try to secure my box with iptables...
YAAAAAW so hard... I understand how it works cause I have worked a lot with firewall in windows (but only with software firewall so...) ,but it's really hard on linux...
There's no others program to firewalling except ip_table and ip_chain on linux? Something simple? Anything in beta testing or in progess?
Iptables and ipchains are the (user part) "tools" to configure the firewall (in the kernel) with.
If you're referring to something like a GUI or wizard-like tool to help you configure your firewall of choice, do a search on freshmeat.net, it'll turn up some. OTOH, if you've got specific questions, why not ask em here?..
