allowing rsh accesss

Hi,
i am using pvm system in Red Hat 8.0. when i try to add a host it generates an error message that the other computer does not allow rsh access. but i can use rsh,ssh and telnet successfully on other times (when not using pvm). i am a new linux user, i do not know how to handle this problem. if someone knows, please inform me.
thanks.

Do you have rsh-server installed on the other box?
check using --> chkconfig --list
rlogin, rsh and rexec should be located close to the bottom and be on if you want to use them.
After you verified that do you have /etc/hosts.equiv set up?
What user are you trying to do this as?

I think it's easier to set up ssh keys and do it the right way...
