airsnort suddenly stopped working
 

Hey guys, i know you've probably heard this question before, but its a little different for me..... ive been using kismet and airsnort for wireless network security for some time now.....i have had everything set up nicely.. recently i opened airsnort just like usual, loaded my "crack file" and when i started it up, it said "could not set monitor mode". let me reasure you i was already in monitor mode...not only that but kismet loaded up just fine, and that needs to be in monitor mode to run also....any ideas...i have a netgear wireless card....i'm completely stuck on this one...

hey guys, i figured it out, anyone having the same problem, it was that i wasnt logged in as root .... you cant run the app as a regualr user (even if you have root privleges in a console)
