Adding an AD authenticated user to the "wheel" group on Red Hat ES

Does anyone know a way to add an active directory user or group to the "wheel"? I have users logging in with AD accounts but I need to be able to add and remove users to the wheel so they can accomplish some tasks that require elevated access without giving out the root password.

Thanks in advance!

i would think that sudo would be a much more logical tool for this sort of thing really, but at the same time, i can't see any reason that just adding the ad usernames to /etc/group would be an issue. as long as you can see the relevant details via getent and such, the user info is as good as local.

Thanks... I don't know what I was thinking. I was trying to add 'domain\username' to the /etc/group file instead of just username. I did a getent passwd username and it worked fine. I'm new to the whole AD authentication scheme.
