Account lockout message and notification

I currently just finished setting up Account Lockout on my Linux ENT3 and ENT5 systems. Is there a way to configure a message notifying the user they have been locked out? Also is there a way to email the administrator when a user becomes locked out? Any help would be appreciated.

Well, you could write a small script to check the /etc/passwd and/or /etc/shadow files for the lockout flag, and have it send an email to the appropriate persons.

As far as user notifications go, the fact they can't log in should tip them off...

For receiving an email, you could try pam-filter http://linux.die.net/man/8/pam_filter
