A note to my fellow forum members on answering questions.

If you don't have a clear view on the situation surrounding a question please consider it your responsability to get that first before answering questions in a way that will degrade security without strongly suggesting any secure alternative.

I would even like to go further and deny the answer unless the user *really understands* the consequences.

After all this is a security forum and I think our goal should be to *help* ppl who enhance or maintain security and *educate* those that want to open up holes w/o explaining or bypass std security measures w/o understanding the consequences.

I think this is a good idea too. Even if you're on a private network, it's still not the greatest idea to bypass security. It makes it easier if you decide to turn your private network wireless or some weenie tries to hack you from the inside.
