2 Factor Authentication on Desktop

Good morning all,

I want to enable the pam module for Google 2 factor authentication to secure my laptop a bit more. Has anyone accomplished this? It seems very straightforward when it comes to a non-graphical setup.

My question is: Is this possible while using X? I am using Arch linux + Slim + Openbox. I would love for it to ask for username, password, and 2 factor auth.

Thank you!

Yes. You can just need to do the same configuration you would for ssh for login. Be sure to put some of the standby codes in your wallet.

So if I do this configuration -- Slim will ask:

Username
Password
2 Factor Auth Password

In that order, and visually? Because I see no documentation on Slim or Openbox about 2 factor authentication.
