'remote connection' window.. am i being hacked?

sometimes when i am connected to internet, i get this window. what does this mean...? someone is attempting to hack my computer...?? Never got anything like that on XP. i dont know if Xp does pop such messages (or does it just doom you with viruses/trojans without prompting.. if the guy at the other end tries any such malicious intensions..?) On my system i simply choose 'refuse connection'. but how would Window$ behave to such a situation?

i am not sure if this matters, but my Bittorrent-4.1.6 client is running when i get this (not sure if it is running everytime when i get this 'remote connection' window.)

Assuming you authenticated correctly, the XP machine would lock the local console.

To stop that popup, turn off the remote desktop feature in your distro, or firewall that port. It's probably just a robot causing the popup.
