Can I ask what people are using to take their screenshots? Something in the "repository" or something from slackbuilds? Or perhaps something you just use from source?

I use GIMP, because it's always installed for me.

http://www.mostlyslack.com/slackstuf..._1400x1050.jpg Conky isn't actually raised at all, its the transparent cube in compiz that makes it look like that. If you are referring to the transparent background that I use for conky you need lua support built into conky and them you can just just add a background using a lua script. |

Correct. It's a lua script that simply draws a background around your conky config. the script itself is separate from conky, you just add a line into your .conkyrc to "link" it in. Let me know if your interested and I can post the lua script and the lua-hook line to load into your conky config.

Took this a little earlier today, I just reinstalled about two days ago, in an effort to create a super light system, as well as just to fool around, I did a custom install of slackware, leaving out kde, xfce, and all related packages, as well as firefox, thunderbird, etc, etc. Here is a picture of my pure fluxbox slackware, with urxvt, sonata, and emacs! (as you can see, I'm teaching myself how to program with python)

EDIT: shortly after making that post, i started work on a new theme. its not finished yet (not happy with the wallpaper or the conky), but here are some previews: http://img841.imageshack.us/img841/8...1107030121.png http://img59.imageshack.us/img59/841...1107030121.png http://img32.imageshack.us/img32/617...1107030122.png EDIT2: heres the finished version of that theme: http://img812.imageshack.us/img812/1...1107031323.png http://img146.imageshack.us/img146/4...1107031329.png http://img14.imageshack.us/img14/473...1107031331.png http://img3.imageshack.us/img3/9370/...1107031343.png |
