Hi:)
I made my desktop background picture in GIMP:

Actually that looks just like KDE running on linux.

Nice job on the wallpaper, imo time with the gimp is time well spent.

That's really color full desktop. I have not used gimp yet but eager to learn.

It took me about 1 year to get to know the program. However to really do cool art it took about 2 years.
You will be amazed at the results and effects if you take the time.
I encourage you to learn GIMP

No never tried the fractal generators but now I'm curious so I'm off to do a Google search.

I think it looks nothing like kde kde doesn't have a dock or a panel at the top, by default. it looks like mate or gnome2 to me with those three titles in the top left corner.

I think this one is very nice. Good job. i've only just started to begin to get to know Gimp, because i couldn't stand the tri-window user interface.

Thank You

If you can be able to get past the tri-window issue and get to know GIMP a little you'll be very pleased. Either way whatever you decide; good luck to you.

I'm using Gimp 2.8 and instantly put it into single window mode. Keep up the good work mate.

fogpipe hates KDE. You're right though, it looks nothing like KDE 4.X.
