Linux - Screenshots

Hi All,

I've been running Linux, as my main OS, for about 10+ years. And, still a Newbie! I did use M$ forever, and was always curious what was so attractive about the Apple Mac.

WOW! What a dissapointment, I've been playing with one for a couple of weeks. I know people are just so religious about these things, but really...

The cost is scary, and my latest adventures (LOL), have been trying to play YouTube videos, Up-Dating Mavericks over the weekend, and keeping those iTunes up-dates up-todate. I have been on a bit of a rant...

I'm running Backbox Linux, which is based off of Ubuntu 12.04 LTS. I use it for all my needs.

Working on a Pikachu model while Palemoon recompiles due to an update in this screenshot, posting it from Midori because Palemoon is taking for freakin' ever to recompile. lol

Window border and widget theme is Ambiance Cold and icon theme is Aw0ken. Blender interface theme is Ubuntu Ambiance.

UPDATE: Gave up and just installed palemoon-bin.

I went single-panel recently, and replaced the default MATE menu with MintMenu, removing the "Menu" text from the button and replacing the default gear with the Faenza Arch icon. Also switched to Ubuntu-style font rendering and I'm using Mint-X + MATE-Faenza icons for the theme.

**UPDATE: Replaced compton-git with the more stable Compton release (compton), and installed the configuration manager, and played with that a little bit, got it tweaked to where it looks good now though.
