Well whats wrong with a couple of prizes? and what about the OSS? That was the former Gaming Clan that I belonged to until we changed it to OSG, Old School Gamers a great bunch of guys. MY question is, has anyone installed the new Ubuntu program that they have been putting out on CD. I just received my copy of it but haven't installed it yet. I fully intend to as I am thoroughly fed up with that other trash program! Can you give me some feed back on it, please???

Maybe I'm just an Old School Sucker (yes, that abbreviates OSS ) but the former is the reason I came to LQ in the first place... Anyway, whoever wins: have fun with your price

I have been reading this site off and on for a while learning as much as I can and still I am confused by it. Although not as much as i was when I first started using Linux. and its all because of this place and others like it. and then they go and offer up some free stuff that may help me conquer the world well at least my world oh yeah just so cool

LQ NEWBIE.
I go along with NAZIMRJ this help is long overdue. As an intermediate user I still have lots of elimentary to learn. For example Ubuntu is giving me a hard time connecting to my Paradise server. There doesn't seem to be the right dialogue boxes to fill in. I had no trouble with Xandros Windows and apple. Thats about as elementary as you can get.

Well just so my conscience stops bugging me any further I am posting now after quiet a while, it certainly would be unfair if I got a reward because I haven't been around for so long, but what does it maatter, I don't mind feeling appreciated even if I don't deserve it.

Newbie to LQ? yes! but my Linux and windows experience lets me know that this is a welcome idea. who says we cant have fun while helping people. Personally i feel that those who help in forums should be rewarded (as they usually are) from time to time. Be it LinuxQuestion, be it the good Karma.

Hello,

sorry but the link is actually out of service. If you would like to try/get a dev package of Code::Blocks IDE you can check here:

Great idea - now just what would I pick out?

Honestly, I enjoy this site - I have discovered that when I have a Linux question (pun not intended, and usually when something doesn't quite work right) I go either here or Google. Every once in a while it's the Gentoo forums, but that's it. and learn - knowledge is power!

Hm... maybe a t-shirt - oh right I was talking about something else. I tend to look more than I speak, and therefore learn quite a bit. In fact, I am quite interested in GrapefruiTgirl's current thread about recompiling/arch-optimizing Slackware. Hugely interesting - I'm considering that myself.

A coffee mug would be nice - oh yes... posting. I've also found that the vast majority of other users here are extremely helpful. Of course there are the small leavening that tend to be "less than helpful" but that is something that any organization has to deal with. That doesn't bother me.

A hat - er, right. Posting. Plus, whenever I do learn something that's bugged me for the last four days, there's a sense of contentment that sticks with me - at least until something else pops up.

Baby bibs - that's it! Wait - I don't have a baby, and I don't think it'll fit me . . . .

What the heck - here's my posting.

Think it'll get moved somewhere else?
