Not all that odd, nowadays, but I had to smile at the GRUB prompt on one of the video-billboards at the railway station if a little perturbed that it hadn't booted any further.
start of a jetblue flite (the infotainment headrests).

obviousely my android based fone.
also, the manual of my lg blu-ray player has the gpl on the last page.
i have an avaya vpn-voip fone that i suspect is just a small linux box that connects to to my company lan (the screen shows many scp calls while powering-on/logging-in).
i suspect most hp all-in-one printers are just webos(linux) pc's with ink trays.

I've a feeling my Avaya phone at work has given me some Linux-type messages when booting also.
As for printers -- I know the majority of the multifunction devices I support had to have a patch for shellshock applied.
i also seen those bar trivia kiosks at boot up (the ones where you circle the differences of the picture of the girl on the left with the one on the rite). it had a red hat logo.
I should've mentioned at NASA Goddard's Visitor Center they use Ubuntu to power their a thing that projects an image on a hanging sphere that makes it look like a planet, moon, or the Sun.
Dodge-Chrysler in deep into Linux. If the sales person boots up the 'build your car' screen to help you select a model, the Linux boot is unmistakable, the parts department computer runs Redhat and the program used to 'reprogram' your car's computer runs another Linux.
