A while back they were carrying Xandros and Linspire systems then discontinued carrying them for some reason. Sams Club has a few different systems with Xandros.
I never used Ubuntu, but from the references it looks like most GUI-friendly OS, I hope that "$200-gPC + good GUI" might have a chance. At the end of the day most users don't care what OS is installed, they even don't care what is "OS". They want power on and browse, or play games (that might be a problem for Linux).

... And they want ease of use. It's progressing fast towards becoming an ideal replacement for windows, but it's not there yet. Even if Wal-Mart is the last place I'd go to buy a computer, it still means more publicity for linux, and that can't be a bad thing; especially for those who hope to play PC games on it some day.
