prolly a stupid question, but the suse website isnt too clear on this:
free as in totally free like most of the dstros, or free as in you can try it for 30 days?

The only shortcoming they declare on the website is no install support, but that cant be just it, right?

It will be totally free. Just remember that there is a SUSE Live CD set or DVD as well as the full install. The Live CD is not installable, and is called an Evaluation CD by Novell. Perhaps this is where the confusion lies.

Is it me or has 9.3 grown lots since 9.2?

I'm setting up my own local mirror so I can update all my machines and it seems to be taking ages, even though I've recently got a 2mb connection.
