pwn to own, Ubuntu comes out on top

I wouldn't start the celebrations just yet. From what I've read the Flash flaw used to crack Vista probably would have cracked Ubuntu as well.

What was informative about this one was that all three basic OSes were pretty secure. It is the applications that run on the OSes that you really have to worry about.

We won't know for sure until the flaw has been patched and can legally be disclosed. But for now, what I read was that it was not a flaw in Flash, but rather, Flash was used to exploit the flaw in Vista SP1, and then only when run in a VM.
