If you can't beat them with a better product, then you have to try something else.

Hrmm, Un-American? Maybe. Then again, a lot of things in this country would be considered Un-American. Such as intellectualism, non-conformity, questioning everything, not being in debt (thats more of a recent trend; it is un-American to not buy useless shit these days.) But I digress.

I wonder if this 'organization' is nothing more than remnants of the McCarthy-era. I would often wonder how McCarthy himself would view anything that is Open Source. "ITS ALL A COMMUNIST CONSPIRACY".

I honestly wouldn't bother too much with these loons. First we are pirates for using open source, now we are "UN-American". Again, just hot air. I would like to see this group not only go after legitimate businesses that use open source, but more importantly go after places of higher learning; so I can laugh at them when their own case falls apart, since open source is used not only in classes, but also for servers as well.

Well, I don't know what is American anymore. Every day it seems to take one more step towards Ingsoc or Mordor.

If you think of the America envisioned by the better of the founding fathers, then I think FLOSS would be embraced wholeheartedly. But, nowadays ... of course not.

Also, I think this article has been posted before, or at least this news.
