New Distribution Forum - Gentoo
Another distribution has joined LinuxQuestions.org. Please welcome Gentoo. I'd like to thank Jesús for working to get the forum setup. The following members will be participating on behalf of Gentoo:
At last a gentoo forum... thanks to Jeremy anyway but thanks to the guys who have taken responsibility to take care of the forum...probably these are the guys who took pain to convince gentoo for an official representation...
Hope to benifit from it (may be someday to contribute..).
I've been a huge fan of Gentoo and have used it extensively for over 5 years now. At work, our primary e-mail gateway runs on Gentoo and does both spam and virus filtering in addition to web proxying and standard SMTP duties.
I am a bit surprised to find out that Gentoo is only now coming to LinuxQuestions, and I'm wondering what a forum here can do for users that the already excellent Gentoo Forums can't accomplish. In fact, the quality of the Gentoo Forums at http://forums.gentoo.org/ is one of the primary reasons I started in with Gentoo all those years ago.

Reason: be more polite
I have been using gentoo for about 7 years now. I post a lot of questions here on LQ because they are not gentoo specific and I get a faster reply here.
