Mozilla Corporation

Here it is, Mozilla Foundation has now announced the Mozilla Corporation, a for-profit entity.

IMO it will be interesting to see how this changes the Mozilla Foundation and what will happen in a few years. I hope it is for the best. :)

you get anything successful and someone wants to make money off of it... I hope to high heaven they don't put ads in firefox- oh please!! this has the potential to go horribly wrong and then again, it could be great- to some people, you get what you pay for, and if it's free... so that could be good.
some purists could be upset- then they would be stupid.

we are left, then, crossing our fingers and chanting: "oh please!! oh please!!!"

But if they would put some ads in it we can just remove it from the source, easy. As Baker said when she was interview at OSCON, this entity will only be serving the purpose of dealing with other corporations, and then it is this tax-thing. I do not know much about tax laws in USA but I can see some benifits from this. We just have to trust Mozilla that they will not become something like Red Hat. :P

All I know about US tax laws is that people roll their eyes when you talk about them, so... I suppose it's a good thing.

LOL at the RH joke- I don't think they will (become like RH)
