Not sure if this link is ok to post, if not, can one of the moderators delete it, or move to a more appropriate place.

Seems like the right place, although you never know what those crazy mods will do. ;)

In my opinion, I don't think other linux vendors will make deals with Microsoft, especially Red Hat, unless they have absolutely no other choice. They don't want to get involved with Mr. Monopoly.

-The only reason people will pay for software is because they don't know the alternatives. Paying for support or donations is different (to open source, that is).

The next frontier for us is to embrace a new business model. And if we embrace it well and that business model is subscription and advertising, where we will be a market leader.
In other words, if they decide to enter more in the linux market, then they can force their crazy prices and advertising in that market.

-I heard the Zune comes in a lovely brown color. Looks like a real cheap copy of the iPod. Good thing my (ancient) Nomad IIc works somewhat under Linux.

Divide and conquer. That is what MS - in my opinion - is doing. It is sad to see it having started with my own distribution.

I'm not sure if I should be sticking with it or dropping it like a hot potato.

Same here, just wait it out. Novell may still have one or two tricks up their sleeve.

Yeah, I guess I'll stick with 10.1 and not worry about anything until I hear otherwise. There's no good reason that I know of to jump ship ATM.

Wait and see....
