It is downloading (as a podcast) lilke a snail.

titanium_geek 07-11-2005 10:35 AM

yeah it's downloading slow for me too- 12kb or so per sec
but I just put that down to:
it's a monday. People are on my shared net connection for work today.
it's a monday. The USA is at work and clogging the net. (It's true!)
LQ radio is popular. There are probably lots of people downloading it today.
:D

There are a fair amount of people downloading it, but we should have a sufficient amount of bandwidth (ie. things should not be slow on our end). You can also use BitTorrent for all LQ Radio Shows and Interviews (we don't bother for the Podcasts at this time, since they are relatively small). After listening to the show, if you have any feedback make sure to let us know. Thanks.

Great show Jeremy. Good topics and I have heard a lot worse from Skype. A great addition to LQ.

I really enjoyed the show, i don't really listen to the radio, but i thought i would give this a go. I'm glad i did.
It's a shame it ended so soon, i could of listened for hours. Jeremy, my mum had a listen too, she didn't really understand it but she did say you have a sexy voice. ;)

Umm, listening to the show, I noticed that at least 2 of the mods on it are from Atlanta? Unfortunately, I have a hard time recognizing voices, especially an hour and 15 minutes into the show. :) So, can you tell me who those two are, lol? It would be interesting to get to find out more about them, being an atlantan for my 20 years of life. :)

Also, there were several references to IRC on there... you guys hang out anywhere in particular?

Jeremy, would it be possible to find out all the equipment you used to produce this show? I've got a bit of curious interest in audio editing and production, so I'd like to find out how all this works. I know you made brief references during the show, but you weren't very specific. The audio quality (especially on your end) was great, and I liked how well balanced the volume of all the panel was.

As chance would have it, we have three mods from the ATL area (which statistically speaking is insane). Thanks for noticing the audio quality. I'll detail the setup in the next show, which will be posted soon than you may think ;)

Cool, I look forward to the next show. I prefer to think of the 3 mods from the atlanta area as statistically "freaking awesome" :)

Any chance I could find out which 3? :) I'm trying to arrange some face-to-face linux user action (of an as-yet undetermined type) here in Atlanta and having LQ mods there would be amazing.

Very nice episode, I liked the Apple part, but I have to say that I think that even going to Intel it will be better and maybe is the workground the intel needs to develop a good 64 bits processor who can realy bit AMD... I always was fan of the 32 bits intel´s processors and like they said, microsoft dont let they explore all the potencial, and that they have a lot of tec and no good partner, now they have.

And Jeremy voice was sound and clear, the other voice was a litle noise, considering that my native language is not english...

but hope the third episode come faster them the second, good job!
