I'm extremely proud to announce that exactly 14 years ago today I made the very first post at LQ, which served to introduce it to the world. To say that LQ has exceed my initial expectations since then would be a monumental understatement. 5,169,549 posts later and I'm still astounded and humbled by what LQ has become. The community and mod team that has grown here at LQ is truly amazing and something that I'm very proud to be a part of. I'd like to once again thank each and every LQ member for their participation, dedication and feedback. Without you, LQ quite simply wouldn't exist.

To say that feedback has been absolutely critical to our success is also an understatement. With that in mind, I'd like to use this thread to collect as much feedback as possible about LQ. What are we doing well and where can we improve? What new features or sections would you like to see? What should we be doing differently? When giving your feedback, please remember that LQ will be updated to the next generation code platform in the near future. I have been a Windows user for many years but then one day I decided to try Linux. I was afraid at first of encountering problems in an unknown system but then I found LQ and all my worries were gone. Since that moment I haven't had a problem to which a solution or pointers I couldn't find here. Thank you jeremy for the great forum and thank you to everyone who shares their knowledge here. Let's keep it up.

After seeing this I went and looked at my oldest subscribed thread was from 2003 so I have nearly 11 years on the forum.

I signed up just a couple days ago, for the specific purpose of answering a question. And then I poked around and found a couple other threads... and lost three hours of my life. But that's OK. It was the most rewarding sign-up in a long time.

LQ is the go to forum for Linux questions. I think the most useful improvement I can imagine would be better search results with very clear "solved" indicators. Too often I used to find the issue I needed, and I'd read the thread only to find that the question had been solved but the solution had not been recorded on the forum. Just a "thanks I figured it out" note from the OP. Those kinds of threads should be removed or flagged so that they stop popping up in search results.

I'm not sure how to best accomplish better organisation of the Best-Of results, but that would be the one improvement I can think of.

Thank you for the forum. I have learned most of my linux knowledge from here.

I really like it as it is. Please do not integrate it with Facebook or any other social platform (that is if there are any plans like that).

Congrats to Jeremy, the mods and all the members who are always willing to help out other users! I've used this forum for almost 10 years now and it's my favourite one, among all other forums I've tried.
