"The Chinese government has renewed Google's licence to operate in China, the internet giant has said, ending a long-running stand-off between the two."
Google has had a long history of trouble with the Chinese authorities. But without a license issued by Beijing, it can not operate in China. The U.S. government has even issued a statement saying he was disappointed that Google and China had not been able to resolve their disputes.
