GeoXPlanet now available at Sourceforge.net

A while back I started a thread about XPlanet/XEarth and plotting active tcp/ip connections in near real-time. The project has been hosted at sourceforge.net and is available for download now. (Thanks to those who expressed interest in it!) You can find it at:

Sorry to hear about the HD problems...but thanks for your interest in GeoXPlanet...

If you need to report problems with GeoXPlanet, please either e-mail me at rocket357 |at| users |dot| sourceforge |dot| net, or file a bug on sourceforge at the project site. Likewise, if you think up a cool idea for it, please let me know! Thanks again.

Edit - GeoXPlanet-0.3.3 is out: http://sourceforge.net/project/scree...roup_id=205209

This update includes launching XPlanet/XEarth from within GeoXPlanet, so configurations don't have to be coordinated between the two projects!

Quick update:

GeoXPlanet-0.4.0 is out now.

Big changes:

1) Windows is supported (again)
2) Graphical configuration utility
3) Connection tracing is stable

Thanks to everyone who's tested GeoXPlanet so far!

I've moved this to the Linux-News section as I think this would count as a press release of sorts. Please keep us posted, always good to hear about projects from our members.

GeoXPlanet-0.4.2 has been released.

This release fixes a few bugs reported to me today. The graphical configuration utility got quite a bit of attention, so if you had difficulty with it before, give it a whirl again...

Thanks!

Thanks for the kind words. I'd hardly call this a press release (the project is a tiny one haha), but thanks!

GeoXPlanet-0.4.4 has been released, and an additional "branch" of the project has been created. The new branch contains a SQLite binary database file of the MaxMind GeoLiteCity data set, which is licensed according to this:

http://www.maxmind.com/download/geoi...se/LICENSE.txt

In addition, the new "branch" defaults to using the new geoip.db binary database file and a few bugfixes were tossed in for good measure.

I'm uploading the new version right now and it should be available shortly for those interested.

Thanks.
