I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt that you aren't a CodeWeavers employee using us as advertising...

I'm also going to move this to news.

I assure you I am not a codeweavers employee nor am I working on the WINE project but I am a very satisfied CrossOver Office customer. For me WINE is a pain to install so I support and use CrossOver. Sorry lixy for not mentioning the WINE beta release.

You know I never saw what the big deal was with these M$-Office compatible API's.
I mean, for the most part, openoffice 2.0 can pretty much do anything MS Office does,
and if you need to do something that ooffice can't, then better to dual-boot windoze.

If you can afford it, and want to maintain it!

Well if you can afford m$office and you actually buy it, you're already sunk in the micro$oft $$$ black hole, so you can buy windoze as well.

As for maintainance, what maintainance? Isn't windoze supposed to be "user friendly" (though not to me) ???

Well, first things first. Have you read and followed their installation guide? You can find them here:
http://www.codeweavers.com/support/docs/

If so, you need to tell us what you have done and what does not seem to be working.

Crossover Office allows you to run Microsoft Office (and a bunch of other Windows only productivity software) in Linux.
