are their any online yum ftp servers which i can include in my local yum .repo file,

so i can also get the rpms directly from the net using yum, if they are not available in my local repository.

plz list any if yes...

or how can i add the popular websites of rpms in my yum .repo file to search or upgrade.

What you are looking for are "repos" not straight FTP sites.

You could enable EPEL:

http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/EPEL

And another good one for RHEL is RPMForge:

https://rpmrepo.org/RPMforge/Using

WARNING: you should enable one OR the other and NOT BOTH! Unless you do some prioritisation/protection using a yum plugin.

The default ftp server for RHEL5 is vstpd, and should be avail from the std RHEL repos.

True, but that isn't what the OP asked!
