Yum Issue

Hey guys,

I have just built a VPS server and when I try to update YUM I get the following error message;

[root@main ~]# yum install gcc-c++
Loading "installonlyn" plugin
Setting up Install Process
Setting up repositories
Could not retrieve mirrorlist http://mirrorlist.centos.org/?release=5&arch=i386&repo=extras error was
[Errno 4] IOError: <urlopen error (-3, 'Temporary failure in name resolution')>
Error: Cannot find a valid baseurl for repo: extras

I recently built a VPS before which had no issues in updating yum...

Any ideas?

I need a response ASAP if possible.

It just a basic hostname setting in HyperVM.

what should I do?

Hey guys,

I found out why it wasn't working...

The Resolv Entries for the assigned IP addresses were not set.
