Post yum installation issue Fatal error

I have one OS with RHEL 6.2 my test environment. We had first installed text OS after that we had required to install "X Window System" Desktop on
==============================================================
#yum groupinstall "X Window System" Desktop

rpmdb: PANIC: fatal region error detected; run recovery
error: db3 error(-30974) from dbenv->close: DB_RUNRECOVERY: Fatal error, run database recovery
the same. But While installing "X Window System" Desktop we had faced below problem.

Then we had prepared below way.

Solution:-
# mkdir /root/backups.rpm.04_18_2013
# cp -avr /var/lib/rpm/ /root/backups.rpm.04_18_2013/
# ls -l /var/lib/rpm/_*
# rm -f /var/lib/rpm/__db*
# db_verify /var/lib/rpm/Packages
# rpm --rebuiddb
# rpm --rebuilddb
# yum clean all
# yum update
# yum install "X Window System" Desktop
