Cool YUM configuration through FTP

I have installed RHEL 6.0 in 2 systems(1 Server & 1 Client)

I have configured FTP on server.

Now I want to configure yum(/etc/yum.repos.d/base.repo) through ftp on client.

Can anyone give me the steps????

from the yum perspective you just need to put the appropriate ftp://url inplace of the default http://url entry, nothign more to it on an anonymous ftp server.

well IS that a valid location that the ftp server is serving? There's no use putting everything in one long line and expecting it all to work first time together.

step 1) Have a functioning FTP server
step 2) Use the FTP server from yum

forget step 2 if you've not done step 1.
