Angry yum.conf problems continue

I'm continuing to have problems with my yum.conf. I'm almost positive the problem is due to my being behind a proxy.

The yum.conf works fine from home but at work I continue to receive the following:

retrygrab() failed for:
http://mirrors.usc.edu/pub/linux/fed.../os/headers/he ader.info
Executing failover method
retrygrab() failed for:
http://mirror.hiwaay.net/redhat/fedo...ers/header.inf o
Executing failover method
retrygrab() failed for:
http://rpmfind.net/linux/fedora/core...rs/header.info
Executing failover method
failover: out of servers to try
Error getting file http://mirrors.usc.edu/pub/linux/fed...fedora/1/i386/ yum/os/headers/header.info
[Errno 4] IOError: <urlopen error (-3, 'Temporary failure in name resolution')>

I've read where you can define a proxy for the yum.conf but what I do not understand is if you insert it in the yum.conf file or do you just declare it as an external environment variable?

Thank you for any help.

Brian

I have the same problem with the proxy.

Quote:
http_proxy="http://proxyserver.domain/";export http_proxy
Is this in your yum.conf or .profle or similar?

Thanks
