yum bittorrent conflicts

Hi,

I'm having problems installing my bittorrent gui.

Ive tried installing from source and from yum install/update but I get conflicts:

Transaction Check Error: file /usr/bin/btdownloadgui.py from install of bittorrent-gui-4.0.2-1.fc4 conflicts with file from package BitTorrent-4.0.3-1
file /usr/lib/python2.4/site-packages/BitTorrent/Choker.pyc from install of bittorrent-4.0.2-1.fc4 conflicts with file from package BitTorrent-4.0.3-1
file /usr/lib/python2.4/site-packages/BitTorrent/ClientIdentifier.pyc from install of bittorrent-4.0.2-1.fc4 conflicts with file from package BitTorrent-4.0.3-1

The conflicts go on for quite a bit so I've only put the start, so I hope this is enough. If the remaining errors are required I can add them.

Hope someone can help

If you are willing to install Java on your machine you could install Azureus. Even on Ubuntu, which comes with bittorrent, I still install azureus, as it is a much nicer bittorrent client than bittorrent itself in my opinion. You should give it a shot. Once you install Java it is much easier to install Azureus than Bittorrent.

(Azureus will work just like bittorrent)

Cool, will give it a try. Not yet installed Java but something I've been meaning to do anyways.

Thanks for the recommendation.

I also recommend azureus , FYI FC4 shiped with java but this java u cant use with azureus
what u have to do is install java in /usr/java then remove the java file in /usr/bin/java
then make symlink into it should work fine

however u can start blindly first then u can see those funny2 thing

run yum remove BitTorrent-i386 (or whatever it's called) first.
