oss or esd??

what sound system type you guys running? im using the alsa crap with the open sound system (OSS) and from what Erica says in her install/readme is that its basically unsported... the only type of sound it will work on without some fuggin with the code is ESD....

You do not have PyGtk-2 properly installed.

^^is the error message when i try to launch pyvoice from gyach(console term)... sucks for me... ill have to find something else.

--cheers!!

I have installed gyachE and i have installed the missing pygtk-2.4.1 from http://ftp.gnome.org/pub/GNOME/sources/pygtk/2.4/ and ghyach still complains after reboot. On top of alsa and oss emulation esd is running. I think that gyack fails to load some libraries needed to display the voice chat window. I have slackware 10 with gnome installed, but I use KDE. I used to run gnome, but I found it not as complex as KDE (slackware is more KDE oriented).

After installing some packages from the author's web page (pygtk, libgtkhtml, gpgme) the voice-chat window opens without errors. Note that esound daemon MUST be running on top of alsa and/or oss. Your selected sound input device should be the microphone. Now, let's hope it works! I only have tot test it.
