yahoo messenger for rh9
 

I installed yahoo messenger in my redhat 9. The first time it ran correctly. From the next time onwards I cannot open it. When I try to open it from the terminal I get the message "Segmentation Error". I cannot open it from the window. when I try to uninstall it it says there is no such thing installed. When I try to reinstall it says the package is already installed. What can I do to make it work again ?

try uninstalling it, then reinstalling it. does it work when you log in as root?

Same thing happened to me yesterday. What I did was remove my ~/.ymessenger directory. After that it started correctly and recreated .ymessenger directory. It must've been a bad setting when configuring the profile but I'm not sure which one.
