Angry Xwindows won't start on HP6710b with RHL 5

Hello,

I just got an HP Compaq 6710b and installed Red Hat 5 Desktop with MultiOS. The installation went fine, but Xwindows just won't start. I've tried a bunch of things I've seen around here for other distributions...nothing works.

Has anyone out there got the same HW + SW, or can shed some light on this issue ?

Thanks in advance for any help.

I just booted PCLinuxOS-2007 on my HP laptop, and the GUI comes up with no problem. So I guess it is some sort of configuration/driver issue.
