Unhappy Xubuntu -- how do I add a "face" to my login browser?

I have Xubuntu with the Xfce desktop (I think that's right) on my laptop

I have Debian Etch on my desktop PC and it has a simple menu-driven way (About Me) to add a picture (a "face") to a listed user in my login browser (I think it is called "happy gnome with browser".

The pictures are stored in /usr/share/faces, but how do I specify one for my username on my Xubuntu laptop?

Try putting the image in your home folder and rename it to .face

Smile Thanks, that was the answer!

Thanks! That worked great. My comment is "how would anyone know that?". Why isn't there more info on this?

I know, you are all thinking "another windows crybaby". The mere number of different Linux distros is confusing, not to mention all the little gotchas in each one.

It's nice to have this support resource though.

As far as I know that same method works on all distros.
