xscreensaver

I just installed xubuntu 10.10 along side windows and all went well dispite my lack of Linux knowledge. While playing with the settings in screensaver, I found that many different graphic patterns had a check mark as though being there, but when I tried to preview them, I received a "not installed" message. Does this mean it is a demo package, and needs to be reinstalled fully, or is there a way to make the nonfunctional patterns functional from within Umbutu?

You need to install the screensaver package through your package manager. I never used ubuntu, but it should be easy.
