Hi guys,

What are the pros and cons for XRDP and VNC in Linux? Which one is good and why?

Hi,

I have been looking at this question more from the point of view of which one provides the best/fastest desktop experience. I found the following site which compares various remote desktop clients. Which you may find useful.

http://www.techradar.com/news/softwa...clients-716346

I found it astonishing just how much a better client could change my remote desktop experience. Remmina which is judged to be the best supports most of the protocols and works really well.

Thanks little_wolf_e for sharing the info. Looks like remmina is a client in Linux. I am still looking the pros and cons for both VNC and XRDP so that I can make decision which one should be installed in our Linux servers officially. If I install XRDP end users must use RDP remote desktop. If I install VNC server end users must VNC Viewer. This is what I am looking for basically.
