When I intalled Red Hat 9 xp stopped booting up. When I try to boot xp it shows those little blocks loading screen and then goes to the boot screen but then restarts on its own.
Ive installed Red Hat fine on this pc before but took it off when i wanted to put in a bigger hdd. The only difference is that I had grub load up linux by default where now i have xp loadup. Also when i took out my old hdd that linux was on i didnt unintsall or anything. I just reformatted the hdd, put in the new one and installed linux again.

Im sure this has been answered many times but i cant find the answer.

try boot into recovery console and do a "fixboot"
or try safe mode

I can safe boot it but i dont know what to do. plus before i would skip the little blocks that appear before the boot screen now it takes a long time for that to boot up. and it flashes the parameters for the option that boots xp, and it didnt do that before
