XP & FC2 Dual Boot Problem
The problem i am having is with GRUB. It boots FC2 fine, but when i go to boot XP it just hangs. I dont know if I need to set something specific in GRUB or not for it to work. The 2 OS's are on seperate hdd, one is a ide (FC2) and one is SATA(XP). Also, when I upgraded my FC2 Core i now have 2 FC2 entries in GRUB. On the old build one the new. How do I delete the old? Not very sure how GUB works. Sorry.

Well Grub is a pointer to where to look for the startup files. If its not configured correctly it wont find your XP. On FC2, you should look for menu.1st and thats the file that contains menu options.
You can also type e on grub menu to let you edit the commands. This will let you see what the commands you have for XP. What do you have for it? Also, do you have a boot partition? do you have a /boot ? |
This is a bug which has been recognised for a while now, googling using the title of your post should get you the answers.
