xorg.conf

hi there:

i have just installed X11 and fluxbox onto a new gentoo isntall and although "startx" works did not give me any errors but i think the resolution is a bit funny.

the reason is that i have noticed that some applicaions' default window seems to be running at 800x600 but the size of mouse pointer looks like 1023x768.

i have also tried giving different resolutions in the xorg.conf and restart x, and it does not seem to have any effect.

is there a comman that i can find out what resolution X is running at after x started?

cheers
