Xircon pci card setup in RH 8.0
 

I have successfully installed RH 8.0, onto a Dell Inspiron 5000 Laptop. I tried to setup the modem for internet connectivity, but it did not work. When I try to query the modem I either get modem is busy, or it can not be found, but in the hardware list I can see my xircom 10/100 mbps/56k modem card listed. So what am I missing here? An help would be appreciated.
