xine: Ther is no MRL

I am having 2 problems. I am using Fedora 11 and these problems are really just designed to irritate the stuff of me.

(1) when I put a DVD in the drive it pops up and says which application do I want to run it with and it lists no applications.

(2) If I launch xine manually it pops the open window and says "xine: There is no MRL"

If I then ignore these problems and click the DVD button on xine the DVD runs fine.

What's wrong with it?

(1) There should be an add app button on the pop up window...after you do it the first time, it should show up everytime after that
(2) Check your xine configs...what's it trying to play on startup?

The 'apps' button to which you refer? I assume this is the empty drop down box to which you refer? This also is unedittable. I expected it to offer me a choice of apps but the point is there is nothing in it.

Where do I find out what is in the xine configs please?

Thanks.

Sorry...

When you put a dvd in and you get the popup box...there is an Add Application button...you then would type in /usr/bin/xine

to configure xine...it's File -> Configure -> Preferences

Many thanks for your response but.......

(1) The window that pops from the inserted dvd has an uneditable field that says 'no application found'. There is no where to put the app name/path.

(2) I cannot find a 'file/preferences' option. I cannot find a 'file' option. I can find a 'setup' window but there is nothing I can see about a startup option of any sort.
