Xine parameters for kaffeine?
DVDs will always play somwhat blurry on Kaffeine. It will play o.k. on Mplayer, KMplayer, GXINE and others. Kaffeine is set to "xine" (will crash if set to "mplayer").
I would like to fix the blur problem and use kaffeine for DVDs.
I carefully changed some parameters - no success. Xine parameters are now re-set to defaults. I also renewed the kaffeine folder under $/.kde a few times.
I used video: "xv", "opengl" and anything else it would let me - no help. Now I am back to "auto" (xv, I guess).
Fast movements are blurry, when I pause the movie the scene is still blurry (e.g. 4 legs on a walking man).
Same if I rip the movie onto hd and play from there.
So what does kaffeine do differently from, say gxine or xine-ui?
Any xine gurus out there?
