xine not quite right under beryl

Hi all,

I have Compiz / Beryl installed on an Ubuntu 6.10 (Edgy Eft) box.

When I run Xine, video playback is a little bit jumpy and I cannot resize the Xine video window.

If I deactivate Beryl and switch back to the standard Gnome Window Manager, Xine behaves itself once again.

Has anybody else experienced this?

Does the video disappear when you use the desktop cube and other effects?

Try changing the xine video driver to 'xshm'

I'm running Beryl on Feisty and it sorted a lot of my problems.

Thanks Okmyx,

I just tried changing the video driver in the xine configurator to xshm and that doesn't solve it.

I can move the xine video window around the screen and manipulate the desktop cube with my mouse and the xine video window does not turn black, or go any worse than if it were left alone.

One of things that is extra strange is that I cannot re-size the xine window when Beryl is running. Without Beryl running xine can be re-sized so I am not sure whats up with that.

Could it be something wrong with my xorg.conf?
